Help! Anybody out there know how to get their self-published book sold

About to years ago, I set out to publish a book of poetry. Through trial and error, I finally composed a book that I could be proud of somewhat, I managed to get the book placed on Amazon.com but since then, not much has happened and the book has just sat there collecting dust. What can I do to get more people to notice it and buy it? If you have any suggestions please feel free to write me here... thanks.
